Weekend Workouts

We talked a lot about this at practice this week, but I am going to do it again on the blog. I know it is fall break and people have family things and other things going on this weekend, which I think is great. Enjoy your break, and have fun!! But you do still need to RUN!!! THis is a critical time in the season. We have put in a lot of work this summer and fall, we do not want to lose it now. So whatever your plans are please make time for the workouts. If you are in town and want to run as a team meet at the highschool friday morning at 7 am. Saturday same thing. Unless you hear otherwise, there was talk of meeting for a canyon run saturday. Captains, if you are in town, please text people if you decide to do that.

Thursday: Recovery run 30-35 minutes. abs and agilities.

Friday: Fartlek run. Run 10 minutes, stretch, then start the fartlek. Run at your race effort for 3 min. Jog 3 min. Run at your race effort for 5 min. jog 5 min. Run at your race effort for 3 min, jog 3 min. Cool down 10 min. THen do 4 x 100 m strides. Stretch good.

Saturday: long run 45-60 min.
